We are introducing to you the smart Haida who lives with her parents and one siblings in a neighborhood with poor hygiene and shortage of potable water.  She is a preschool student.  Her favorite subject is counting numbers.  Her favorite game is playing hide and seek.  They communicate in Amharic local language. Her mother and her father are casual workers to make a living. Their minimal income, which is less than 300 USDs per annum, is not enough to cover even their most basic needs. They plan to change their lives by being engaged in income generating petty trade activities. This can be achieved if they get some support and encouragement. The family lives in a rented house that is built by wood, mud and covered by iron sheet.  The nearby school and health center lack basic equipment and qualified professionals. In order to overcome the poverty Haida is facing, and to get a quality education she needs to be enrolled in the project.

Ending child poverty begins with Haida. It’s easy. It’s impactful.
