Saidu is a friendly boy who lives with both parents and siblings. They live in a mud bricks house roofed with old zinc and dirty floor. He is a peaceful boy living in a community located in northern Sierra Leone called Kanunka. They fetch water from the stream. The water is not safe for drinking and it contains impurities that endanger their health. Saidu is in pre-primary school with limited support on education from his parents. He helps his family by fetching water for his father to drink. He loves playing with toys and football. He would like to be a better person in future. His mother is a subsistence farmer and she grows groundnuts, millets and beans. She does not produce as she expects due to the lack of rain fall. His father breeds some small ruminant animals.
