Marietou is a rather shy but sociable little girl. Marietou, her siblings and their parents accommodate in two rooms made of concrete in the big family house. They have access to running water and electricity supplies. They share dependencies with the extended family members. Luckily everyone in the house is ready to help each other out. Marietou’s young father is a Moto Jakarta driver. Like taxi men he transports people and gets paid. His income is estimated at US $ 1,200 in a year- not enough to correctly satisfy the family basic needs. The mother keeps the house and cares for everyone. She tries her best to provide two daily meals to her family, and she always makes sure her children are simply dressed when they go to primary school. The parents’ dire wish for their beloved child is to have a caring sponsor who will help to change her day to day life.
