Himasha is a sweet young girl living in the peaceful hills of Monaragala District, Sri Lanka, a place blessed with natural beauty but facing many challenges. She lives with her parents and sister in a modest, unfinished house made of brick walls, a clay floor, and a roof of clay tiles. The house provides shelter, but it is far from ideal, and their living conditions are humble. Despite these hardships, Himasha shows remarkable strength. She helps her mother with cleaning and fetching water from a neighbor’s well. Her favorite hobby is playing, which brings her joy amid their struggles. Every day, she rides with her father on his bicycle to the primary school located 2 km away, showing determination to learn and grow. Her father, a full-time farmer, earns only $200 annually, while her mother stays at home. The family often struggles to provide healthy meals and pay for education. A sponsor’s support would make a world of difference, offering Himasha and her family a chance at a brighter future, with better living conditions and educational opportunities.
