Sombo is a cheerful and friendly girl who lives with her family in Chongwe District one of the rural farming areas east of Lusaka the capital of Zambia. Sombo is a last born child in the family of 5 children. She is currently in Pre-school and her school performance is good. Sombo mixes well with members of her family and enjoys playing with homemade toys. Her parents depends on small scale faming as their source of income. They mainly grow maize as their staple crop however; yields are often low because of infertile soils. Their annual income stands at US$ 350 and insufficient to sustain their family.
