David is a diligent and obedient child who helps his mother with household chores, like fetching water and collecting firewood, as he also assists his father in farm work.  Basketball is his favorite sport, and he enjoys his Filipino subjects. He is also fond of dancing and modeling, and his favorite colors are blue and green. Swimming in the river with friends to also catch fish is also his pastime. And aspiring to bring a better life for his family, David dreams of becoming a soldier one day! He lives with his family in a small abode made mostly from light materials, situated a couple of kilometers away from the barangay hall and health center. They have access to water from a nearby river, and they raise chicken and cows to augment their meager income - farming is their main source of livelihood, generating just around $40 a month. Their resourceful and resilient outlook is truly reflected in their daily lives as they also grow their own bananas and root crops!
