Shivagangas young life is marred by poverty and misery. Her parents work as casual laborers in order to maintain the family. Their hard work fetches them  a very low income of approximately USD 219 per annum, which does not suffice to tide over the financial problems. The parents are at their wits end trying to solve the mounting problems, but there is hardly any sign of improvement in their living conditions. Finally in utter desperation, they sought aid from this project in order to provide a better future for this child. Shivaganga is attending school, and  is active. Her favorite subject is Kannada language. She enjoys playing with dolls, group games with her friends, especially hide and seek. She also loves to run errands for her mother like cleaning the house and go shopping.  Her health is average.  Shivaganga has two sisters.
