This is Itzel. She belongs to a humble family. The father works in the corn fields and earns approximately $8 USD per day. The mother stays at home, taking care of Itzel. This low income becomes an obstacle to put the food on the table and keep Itzel thriving. Itzel speaks Spanish. She attends preschool, at an upper grade. This family lives in a borrowed house, without a refrigerator. Itzels diet is based on cereal, milk, lentils, tortillas, vegetable soup, beans and boiled pumpkins. Luckily enough, shes healthy and currently weighs 15 kg and shes 1.05 m tall. She enjoys Christmas attending the religious events in her community and going to posadas to break piñatas. Please, give Itzel a chance to be your friend. Your kind support and advice will mean much to her. In addition, shell be able to attend workshops to develop her own skills and imagination. This most certainly will have a wonderful effect on her.
