Ruth is a young happy girl living in the northern part of Uganda around the lake shores. Her family depends mainly on small scale farming for a daily income and food however the little that the family realizes from the seasonalized harvest is spent to purchase some domestic vital needs at home like salt, soap, and paraffin but this is always so meagre to satisfy their daily needs. Though Ruth is currently enrolled in one of the community Early Child Development Centres, she is at the verge of dropping out because her school needs are always not attended to on time, and this has always affected her performance because she misses school frequently. During her free time, Ruth likes to play running games with her friends which has kept her happy and fit. Ruth and her family lack a clean source of clean water which has always forced them to share water with animals thus putting them at a risk of waterborne diseases.
