Staicy is a cheerful young girl who comes from the northern part of Kenya, Turkana County. She lives with her mother, father and one sister. The family lives in a palm thatched hut covered with sticks in a communal land. They fetch water from a community bore hole whose water is scarce as it is depended upon by many households. Her mother is the breadwinner of the family who depends on doing casual work in peoples house holds. However, the annual income generated from this economic activity is below 360 US dollars which is not enough to meet all the family basic needs. Her mother decided to approach the office seeking for assistance. Staicy is enrolled in a nearby school where colouring, counting and matching shapes are her favourite activity. While at home, she likes playing hide and seeks with her friends. Additionally, she helps her mother in rinsing utensils and sweeping the compound. Staicy would like to become an accountant when she grows up. Your support will bring a lasting change to her life.
