Shiv comes from an underprivileged family residing in Jharkhand. His father is engaged as a marginal farmer and earns approximately USD 356 per year. The meager income is not sufficient to take care of the household, educational, and medical expenses. The mother is a resourceful housewife. However, she is not able to make ends meet despite her best efforts. The humble parents approached this project to provide the child with a better future. Shivis attending primary school.
