Miguel is a very young Brazilian boy who lives with his mother, Keiliane, on the outskirts of a small town located in the state of Ceara. Their simple home, which is self-owned, has brick walls, dirt flooring and a clay-tiled roof. It has a tiny bathroom. Water is carried from a well. Electricity is available. The father has never provided any financial assistance whatsoever and his whereabouts is unknown. Keiliane receives a very small family allowance from the federal government, which is far from enough to meet basic needs. Miguel is an active and sweet baby boy. He crawls all over the floor and stands on his feet with support for a little while. He takes bottles as well as solid foods like corn pap and vegetable soup. He likes playing with colorful and noisy toys. Miguel is considered to have good health, in spite of the poor living conditions and diet. He is still too young to attend school. The family is needy and through your support Miguel and his family have the opportunity to participate in important projects in the areas of health, recreation, education and nutrition
