Mame Cheikh, also called Lampe by his relatives is a young boy, attending a local school. This lovely cooperative boy and his grandmother and other extended family members accommodate in five rooms in the big family house made of concrete. They have access to running water but no electricity supplies. The grandmother relies on seasonal farming. She usually grows millet and beans for food and groundnuts for sales. Due to unpredictable weather conditions and poor methods of cultivation the field’s outputs are seldom low. Her irregular earnings are not more than US $1,095 in a year. The parents are no longer married, and the mother no longer lives with Lampe. The child lives with his grandmother. She strives to satisfy his grandson needs. Mame Cheikh is always dressed simply when he goes to school. This cool boy is always ready to share games with his peers. They love to play with soccer with balls they make themselves out of rags. If someone is willing to sponsor him, Lampe will enjoy better living conditions, and acquire good education in order to help his parents, his grandmother, and his community as well.
