Patson is the only child in the family. He is kept by his grandmother who lives in Rufunsa a small farming area in the eastern part of Lusaka. They sleep in a small hut made out of unburnt poles with a grass thatched roof. They use kerosene and sometimes candles for their lighting. The family’s main source of income is subsistence farming. They grow maize which is a staple food crop. Besides, they also grow cassava and vegetables which they sometimes sell at the local market in order to increase the family income. The annual income stands at $450 which is not enough to provide the family with daily needs. This has made his grandmother to enroll Patson in the program. He is at primary school and his favorite subject is drawing. He is a reserved child who enjoys playing with toys. Your sponsorship will definitely bring joy to him and the whole family.
