Yna is a charming young girl who comes from the northern part of Kenya, Turkana. She lives with her mother, father and one sister and two brothers. They live in palm thatched mud hut in a communal land. the family fetch their water from a community hand pump whose water is saline and in scarce. The family depends on basket weaving as the main economic activity. Her father practices herding as a livelihood supplementation activity. However, the annual income derived from this economic activity is below 360 US dollars which is not enough to support family basic needs. For this reason, her mother decided to approach the office seeking for further assistance. Yna is enrolled in a nearby primary school. While at school, she enjoys singing game and colouring and dancing is her favourite activity. Yna would like to be a doctor when she grows up and built a big house for her parents. At home, Yna helps her parents in cleaning the compound and washing dishes. Your support will bring a lasting change to her life.
