Namadhi is a little girl, who is living with her parents and brother in a remote village in Moneragala, Sri Lanka. She attends a pre school in the village and loves to play with her friends and with dolls. Her father and mother do cultivation work once for a year and for the rest of the year they do labor work to earn a living while facing uncertainties regarding the income. Their house, is constructed with bricks, the floor is tiled, and the roof is covered with asbestos sheets. Namadhi’s family enjoys electricity and proper sanitary facilities. Water is obtained from a neighbor’s well. Despite the difficulties they face, Namadhi’s family strives to make the best out of their circumstances. Help and support received from a kind sponsor will help them to improve their living conditions, and offer a brighter future for Namadhi as she starts her education.
