Maxwel is a jovial young boy who lives in Turkana County in the Northern part of Kenya. He lives with his mother and father and his grandmother. They live in a house with iron sheet roof and walls made of mud from clay soil. They fetch water from the nearby local hand pump. The water from the hand pump is salty and not good for consumption. Also, the water from the hand pump is not enough since the whole community uses the same pump. His mother economic activity is a volunteering as a teacher in the nearby school. His father is a graduate but not employed. The family annual economic income is below US $360 which makes it hard for the family to cater for their basic needs. Maxwel is in school and loves drawing and counting as well. His favorite game is playing football with his friends. Maxwel helps his parents at home to look after their ‘kids’. He also fetches water for basic uses at home. Maxwel would want to be a doctor when he grows up in order to come and treat people from his community and others as well. Your support to this child’s life will change his life and his families.
