Cheikhouna is a good mannered and respectful little boy according to his mother. Cheikhouna, his senior brother and their parents live in a big house made of concrete with electricity, and running water supplies. Cheikhouna’s father relies on seasonal farming. Due to unpredictable weather conditions, and poor methods of cultivation he earns about US $ 1,440 in a year. He finds it difficult to satisfy the basic needs of his family. The mother keeps the house in shift with the other women in the extended family members. They try their best to provide two daily meals to her family. Rice is their staple food.  Cheikhouna is always correctly dressed when he goes to school. Number game is his favorite activity he does. He wants to become a teacher when he grows up. Back home from school, he enjoys playing soccer with his peers.
