Mama Astou is attending elementary school. She, her junior sister, and their parents accommodate in one room in the big family house. They have access to running water supply and electricity supply, pooling with the other extended family members to pay the bills. Her father relies on seasonal farming. He usually grows sorghum and groundnuts; but due to unpredictable weather conditions, and poor cultivation methods, the farm produce is always low. He finds it extremely difficult to feed his family with a low and irregular income of about US $1,095 in a year. The mother keeps the house and cares for everyone. She tries her best to serve two daily meals to her family. For fun, Mama enjoys sharing games with her peers. They love to play with dolls they make themselves out of rags. The parents’ dire wish for their beloved daughter is to have a caring sponsor who will help to bring better change in her day to day life.
