Umaru is a smart little boy that loves being with peers He lives his parents in the far north of the country deprived of safe drinking water and good road. They live in a family house of three rooms that is roofed with old zinc and with dirt floor. The house lacks good toilet facility. His mother is a petty trader that takes farm produce on loan bases and later pays with an interest. The father burns chercoal to raise income for other basic needs of the family with a combined monthly income of US$37 which only helps to provide a single meal a day and nothing else. Umaru attends the ECD Centre. Sponsorship will help him grow in a safe and secured environment to continue school.
