Esther is a charming girl who comes from the northern part of Kenya, Turkana County. She is raised by her mother and father. She also has 5 brothers and one sister. The family lives in a palm-thatched mud house on a communal land. They fetch water from a river that is saline and not clean for human consumption thus predisposing the child to waterborne diseases. Her father is the breadwinner of the family and is a security guard in a small firm. Her mother practices small-scale farming of sorghum and cow pieces as a livelihood supplementation activity. However, the annual income generated from this economic activity is below 360 US dollars which is not enough to meet the family’s basic needs. Her mother therefore decided to approach the office seeking assistance. Esther is not enrolled in school since she has not attained school-going age. She enjoys playing with shakers. Her mother would like her to become a doctor when she grows up and help other vulnerable people in society. Your support will greatly change her life.
