Luyando is a needy child who lives with her parents, a sister and two brothers in Tigwilizane community in Luangwa district of Zambia to Lusaka city. Luyandos parents are local peasant farmers who grows maize, beans and pumpkins at a small scale mainly for their own consumption during the rainy season. However, the yields are very low due to traditional farming methods, use of uncertified seeds, drought and sometime floods as the area lies in a valley with unpredicted weather condition. The familys annual income is $400 and hardly enough to meet all their basic needs. Luyando is in preschool and her parents are determined to see educated such that even with their economic conditions they always ensure that he attends school. Her health is good and most of the times, she likes to play with home made toys. Your support form Luyando will build a strong foundation for her to have a better future.
