Tannu belongs to a poor family whose living conditions are pathetic and deplorable. Her father is working as a casual laborer. Their income is approximately 578 dollars per annum which do not suffice to support the family or provide them with even one square meal a day. The mother does the household chores and caters to the family, but in spite of all her undying efforts, there seems to be no improvement in their living conditions. Life is a mere struggle for existence. Eager to provide this child with the chance of a better life, the desperate parents finally appealed to this project for assistance. Tannu is in primary school. Her favorite subject is Hindi, the national language. She enjoys playing group games with her little friends. Her health condition is normal. she has short hair and appears like a boy.
