We are introducing to you the smart Mekides who lives with her parents and four siblings in a neighborhood with lack of potable water, health service and quality education. She is in school and she likes counting English alphabet. Her father is a farmer. Her mother makes local drinks at home and sell.  Their minimal income, which is less than 380 USDs per annum, is not enough to cover even their most basic needs. They plan to change their lives by being engaged in better business activities. This can be achieved if they get some support and encouragement. The family lives in a small hut.  The nearby school and health center lack basic equipment and qualified professionals. In order to overcome the poverty Mekides is facing, she needs a helping hand.
