Sheriff and his family live in a mud block house of two bedrooms in the rural west coast region of the Gambia. His parents are seasonal farmers who largely depend on rain-fed agriculture for family consumption and sell part of it for family needs. However, due to poor rainfall and poor soil quality, their annual harvest is always low to meet the familys needs. Sheriff has only one sister and no brothers at the moment. He is attending a lower basic school in their village. His favourite subjects in school are English and Numbering. He likes playing with a ball and running about. He, therefore, needs ChildFund support to improve his well-being.
