Maimouna is an adorable and quiet girl. Since her father’s death, she has been staying with her mother, siblings, and other close relatives in one of the villages located in the central part of the country. The mother is, like most of the people living in this part of the country, a traditional farmer. The annual income of US $ 480.00 which the family earns after selling part of their crops at the end of the rainy season is not enough to take good care of the entire family’s basic needs. Maimouna is in kindergarten where she is doing well. After school she enjoys having fun with her dolls or playing hide-and-seek with the other kids of the neighborhood. At home, she is helpful with small errands. Sponsorship would help this girl have a good education and succeed in life.
