Maria Heloisa is a young Brazilian girl who lives with her parents, Paulo and Francisca, in a rural community in the interior of the state of Ceara. Their simple home has brick walls, rough cement floors and a clay-tiled roof. It is rented and has a tiny bathroom. Paulo struggles to earn a living as a servant on constructions when available, but his very low income is far from enough to meet even the most basic needs of his family. Maria Heloisa is sweet and polite. She loves playing with balls and dolls in the company of other girls her age. She has a dog and a cat she is fond of. Maria Heloisa is considered to have good health, in spite of the poor living conditions and diet. She is still too young to attend school. Through your support Maria Heloisa and her family will have the opportunity to participate in important projects in the areas of health, education and nutrition.
