Makane is a joyful and lovely twin girl. She lives with her parents and siblings in the countryside. Her father is, like most of the people living in this area, a traditional farmer. As for the mother, she stays at home to perform the house chores. The father manages to bring home about US $ 600.00 each year after selling part of his crops at the end of the season. This annual income is hardly enough to take care of the family’s basic needs. Makane is attending the village kindergarten where she is doing quite well. At home, she enjoys playing with her dolls and with her friends. She is also helpful with small errands and the light house chores.
