Siyabonga is a needy but cheerful young boy who lives lives with his parents in Tigwilizane community in Luangwa district in Zambia. His familys livelihood is hinged on rainfed agriculture where they grow maize, beans and pumpkins at a small scale mainly for home consumption with very little surplus due to inadequate imputs. However, droughts associated with climate change has been affecting the familys harvest as it has drastically reduced making it difficult for the family to meet their basic needs. The family also tried to keep chicken in order to find a way of raising funds but due to some diseases, it is not as productive as they wish. However, the family is optimistic that education is important hence have determined to make sure that Siyabonga is educated. His health is good and is currently in primary school. He likes playing ball games with his friends and helps his mother with cleaning dishes. Your sponsorship will go a long way in securing a better future for Siyabonga.
