Janak Chamika is a bright and energetic boy living in the picturesque hills of Monaragala District, Sri Lanka. He lives with his parents in their modest home, which, although incomplete, is filled with warmth. The walls are made of sand and sticks, the floor is clay, and the roof is covered with clay tiles. His father works as a full-time farmer, earning a modest annual income of $400, while his mother is a housewife who cares for him. Janak helps his mother with small household chores, like cleaning, and enjoys playing with his friends in his free time. He walks to his primary school, which is 2 km away, accompanied by his mother. However, the family faces significant financial challenges, struggling to provide three healthy meals a day and meet the costs of education. A sponsor’s support could greatly ease their burdens, providing funds for better food, education, and overall living conditions. This help would give Janak a brighter future and improve his family’s quality of life.
