Medish is a smart boy who lives with his parents, grandmother and brother in a village located in the Northern Province of Sierra Leone. They dwell in a mud house roofed with old zinc. They are deprived from modern facilities and tap water. During the dry season, they encounter difficulties in getting safe drinking water. They fetch water from an unprotected water well which makes them sick. The family engages on farming as they grow crops such as rice, groundnuts and pepper. They also bring dry wood for sale and make up an annual income of US$255.00 which is not enough to take care of the family needs. Medish is too young to attend school. With sponsorship Medish will grow healthy and achieve a better life.
