Dorcas is a humble young girl who comes from the northern part of Kenya, Turkana county. He is raised by his mother and father. Dorcas also has one brother and one sister. The family lives in a palm thatched mud house in a communal land. They fetch water from a community hand pump whose water is saline and not enough for domestic use as it is depended upon by many households as the main source of water. Her father is the breadwinner of the family who depends on vending activities. Her father also practices herding as a livelihood supplementation project. However, the annual income derived from this economic activity is not enough to sustain family basic needs. Her parents therefore decided to approach the office seeking for assistance. Dorcas is enrolled in a nearby ECD school. Her favorite game is rope skipping. Dorcas would like to become a a nurse when she grows up. While at home, she helps her parents in collecting firewood and fetching water. Your support will bring a lasting change to her life and the family at large.
