Sekar is a bright and active 11-year-old girl studying in the local primary school in Kulon Progo Regency. Her father works as a farmer, earning an irregular income of approximately USD 130 per month, which is just enough to cover the familys basic needs. Her mother manages the household and takes care of Sekar and her younger brother. Sekar lives with his parents, 1 younger brother and grand mother in a modest house made of brick walls, with a cement floor, a simple outdoor bathroom and source of clean water through springs. Sekar enjoys spending her free time drawing and playing volley with her friends. Despite the challenges her family faces, she is a diligent student with a love for learning and dreams of becoming a teacher to help others in her community.
