Vieux Mamadou is a healthy, very attentive child who is attending primary school and doing well there. He enjoys playing soccer with his friends. He lives with his parents in the cement-built family house, where they have access to water and electricity. His father is a tailor whose small, irregular income of just about US$ 1,200.00 per year is not sufficient to meet his family’s basic needs and take good care of the child. As for his mother, she is a housewife, which means that her main activity is to do the house tasks. That is why the child needs some support for his good developmznt, health and education.
