Lydia lives in the high land community in Eastern Indonesia with her family in a traditional house made of tree branches and straw of plant, with community toilets that are located outside the house and bad sanitation facilities. Her father is a farmer and could only generate income of around a mere US$ 21.00 per month. Though her father works hard, his income is still not enough to fulfill the familys needs, and her mother is only a housewife who is unskilled and cannot find any job to add to the family income. Seeing no way out of their miserable plight but keen on educating her, the desperate parents sought support. Through our programs, their family will be able to improve their standard of living. She and her parents will receive assistance from our programs, such as parenting program, life skills and financial literacy programs. Not only to her, the programs will benefits her community as well.
