This cute young girl is Violet, living in Eastern part of Lusaka the capital city of Zambia. She lives her sister, father and grandmother. She’s in the custody of her father because her parents divorced. They live in a grass-thatched hurt. They fetch water from a well which is half a kilometer from where they stay but the water is not safe for human consumption, which predisposes the child to waterborne diseases. Her father is a small-scale farmer, he grows maize and vegetables mainly for consumption. A surplus is sold but the income earned which is US$200 annually is not enough to carter for their basic needs. As a result, the grandmother came to the office looking for assistance. Violet is not school but will start soon. Your support will brighten Violet’s future.
