Ivan Michael is a humble boy living in North Eastern Uganda with both parents and three siblings. He attends school for formal education and his favorite subject is Mathematics. He helps his parents to weed crops over the weekend using a small hoe and this makes him so happy. The family practices subsistence farming growing crops like cassava, millet, beans, simsim, groundnuts and maize but due to soil infertility as a result of poor farming methods, poor yields are always experienced and this has resulted to reduced income levels in the family with less than US 10 dollars per month. Their major source of drinking water is the borehole whereas kerosene is the source of lighting. They sleep in a house made of mud and grass and he sleeps in a bed made of local cotton parked in a bag. We are hopeful that your support to this child through sponsorship will enable the family to have access to clean water and help the child acquire essential educational needs.
