Evelly is a young Brazilian girl who lives with her mother, Cristiane, on the outskirts of a small town located in the state of Ceara. Their simple home, which is lent to them, has brick walls, ceramic tile floor and a clay-tiled roof. It has a tiny bathroom. Running water and electricity are available. The father has abandoned the home and has not been providing any type of financial support for his child. Cristiane receives a very small family allowance from the federal government, which is far from enough to meet basic needs. Evelly is affectionate, lively and communicative. She helps her mom by filling the bottles with water. Her favorite pastimes include playing tag and hide-and-seek. Evelly is considered to have good health, in spite of the poor living conditions and diet. She attends a local public elementary school and her favorite subject is Math. Her big dream is to become a doctor someday. The family is needy and through your support Evelly and her family have the opportunity to participate in important projects in the areas of health, recreation, education and nutrition.
