He is in school, and his favorite subject is Gedeuffa local language. In the future the child wants to be a teacher.  He spends his spare time by playing football. His mother is a housewife.  His father has passed away.  The family earns less than 350 USDs per annum which is not enough to cover even their most basic needs. They plan to chanf their lives by being engaged in small business. This can be achieved if they get support and encouragement. The family lives in a house made up of wood and covered with grass roof. The nearby school and health center lack basic equipment and qualified professionals. In order to overcome the poverty Melkiamu is facing, he needs a helping hand.
