Mihretu is a very cheerful boy who lives with his parents and six siblings in a neighborhood with poor hygiene and shortage of medical facilities.  He is in school, and his favorite subject is Afan Oromo, local language. He enjoys playing football with his friends.  His mother is a housewife, and she takes care of the family. His father is a farmer, and his minimal income, which is less than 330 USDs per annum, is not enough to cover even their most basic needs. They plan to change their lives by being engaged in income generating farming activities. This can be achieved if they get some support and encouragement. The family lives in a small room made up of mud and wood with no running water and toilet. The nearby school and health center lack basic equipment and qualified professionals. In order to overcome the poverty Mihretu is facing, he needs a helping hand.
