Kumba lives with her parents, one brother and two sisters in a small village in the north of the country. She has few second hand clothes bought from the village weekly market and eats two insufficient meals a day. Her father is small scale farmer growing crops such as rice, millet, and cassava. while her mother is a house wife who takes care of the home, and also engages on back yard gardening to assist in taking care of the family. The family annual income of $250 is not adequate to meet the basic needs of the family. Kumba is friendly and loves playing hide and seek.
