Galilia is a jovial young boy who comes from the northern part of Kenya, Turkana county. He lives with his mother, one brother and two sisters. The family lives in a palm thatched mud house in a communal land. They fetch water from a river whose water is saline and not clean for human consumption thus pre disposing the child to water borne diseases. The mother depends on mat weaving activity carried out by the mother as the main source of income and charcoal burning as a livelihood supplementation project. However, the annual income generated from this economic activity is below 360 US dollars which is not enough to meet familys basic needs. For this reason his mother decided to approach the office seeking for further assistance. Galilia is enrolled in a nearby ECD school where he is doing good in counting. He likes playing rope skipping with his friends. His parents would like him to become a manager when he grows up and also help the less fortunate people in the community. Galilia has been assigned to clean dishes and fetch water for domestic use. Your support will bring a lasting change to his life.
