Kalkidan is a very charming girl who lives with her parents in a neighborhood with poor hygiene and shortage of potable water. Her mother earns a living by washing other people’s clothes and her father is a casual worker , and their minimal income, which is less than 400USDs per annum, is not enough to cover even their most basic needs. They plan to change their lives by being engaged in income generating activities. This can be achieved if they get some support and encouragement. The family shares a small rented house, and the nearby school and health centre lack basic equipments and qualified professionals. Kalkidan is a primary school student and wants to be a doctor when she grows up. In order to overcome the poverty Kalkidan is facing, she needs a helping hand.
