Shivan is a humble young girl who loves making friends. She lives with her parents and one sister in a village in central western part of Uganda. Her family is dependent on subsistence farming growing maize, beans, and cassava on small scale mainly for domestic consumption. On rare occasions, the family sells part of the crop harvest to acquire necessities for home use like salt, clothes, kerosene, sugar, and soap. This in the long run affects their food reserves and when they get very low, they resort to having one meal per day. Their monthly income is less than US dollars 25 on average got from the coffee plantation where Shivan father and mother go for hustling with her sister. This has made it hard for the family to access basic life needs like Education, good shelter and medical care for Shivan and her sister. If Shivan is not supported at this age, her chances of dropping out of school at an early age shall be very high. Thus, your sponsorship of this family will highly be appreciated and is the answer her dream.
