Usifu is a brilliant boy who lives with his parents and siblings in a savanna grass land community in the north of Sierra Leone. His community lacks safe drinking water. They get water from an unprotected shallow well which is not safe for human consumption, thus expose Usifu and family to contact water borne diseases. They live in a mud brick house with dirty packed floor. This exposes them to disease like cough and flue. Yet they cannot afford to treat themselves when affected with diseases. The family dwells in a mud brick house roof with dry grass. He sleeps on a local bed mattress with poor bedding. He is affected with ring worm in the face as a result of poor bedding. Yet it cannot provide them a bag of rice and other basic necessities. Usifu is a clever boy who likes to dance traditional songs and playing football. Usifu will be delighted to continue his education, live to have access to safe drinking water and expose to better opportunities in.
