Zahra and her family live in the rural Gambia. Her family engages in small scale farming and they grow cereals, fruit trees and vegetables. Part of the crops is used for home consumption whilst the other part is sold to take care of some family needs. However, poor harvest has hindered the parents income resulting to inadequate provision of basic family needs for the year. Zahra is going through home base training ahead of enrollment in formal School in the near future. Her favorite hobbies are dancing, playing with doll and sand play. Zahras enrollment will pave way for her family to benefit from Child Fund’s education and health support to Children and economic programs designed for parents.
