Yatta is a beautiful young girl who lives with her parents and three siblings in a remote village in Eastern Sierra Leone. The family lives in a three bedroom mud house with old zinc roof. She sleeps in a local bed and a savanna grass stuffed mattress with her Grandmother. Her parents are small scale farmers who grow crops and vegetables such as rice maize, pepper, cassava and potato. After harvest some of the products are sold to take care of other family needs like health, education and clothing. They also reserve some for food. The family income is approximately US$ 209 yearly. This is insufficient to provide all the basic needs for the family. Yatta is healthy and she is fun to be with and loves to play local outdoor games with her peers during her free time. A potential sponsor like you can help her to actualize her dream of becoming a future leader.
