Ariana is a cheerful young girl who comes from the northern part of Kenya, Turkana county. She lives with her mother, father and four brothers. They live in a palm thatched mud hut in a communal land. They fetch their water from a community tap whose water is scarce as it is depended upon by many households. The mother is the primary caretaker of the family. She depends on charcoal burning and selling activity for economical sustenance. She also practices plaiting activity as an income supplementation project. However, the annual income generated from these activities is below 360 US dollars which is not enough to cater for family basic needs. Her mother for this reason approached the office seeking for assistance. Arian is not enrolled in school because she has not attained school going age. She likes playing with friends and home-made dolls. When she grows up, her mother would like her to become a nurse and help other people in the community. Ariana has not been assigned any household chores since she is still young. Your support will bring a lasting change in her life.
