Silas lives in North Eastern Uganda with grandparents. They sleep in grass thatched hut made of mud walls and wattle with dusty floors. He has not started his education journey because of his tender age. Silas spends most of his time playing with toys made of local materials like clay and old clothes. His family depends on subsistence farming for survival like growing maize, beans, cassava tubers, sweet potatoes and vegetables. Much of what they produce is consumed at home while any surplus is sold off to get some income. The produce from crops is low and cannot sustain the family with adequate basic needs like medication, education, decent shelter, clothing and decent meals. Their income is less than 10 US dollars per month which cannot raise them out of poverty. With your kind contribution, his wellbeing and future will be assured.
