Emmanuel is a polite and loving child staying with his parents and siblings in a two-roomed semi-permanent house in a remote village in Eastern Uganda. His parents practice subsistence farming for a living on a small scale as they are limited by land. The family earns a monthly income of US 20 dollars which is not enough to provide the basic needs of the child and family. Emmanuel is enrolled at a nearby Nursery school he likes going to school. He loves counting, drawing pictures and shading them using colored pencils. Bouncing the ball with age mates is his favorite playtime activity in addition to learning how to wash simple utensils like spoons. However, Emmanuel education after Pre-primary school section is likely to be interrupted by the long distance of over 4 kilometers to school and the low family income level. Your great support to Emmanuel will enable him to stay in school and will cause a lasting smile to his face and family.
